Originally 2010 model (NOTE: the hull is actually later model - it was replaced under warranty by the first owner. Rudder has been upgraded also) this Kayak is in great condition - always covered or garaged and well maintained after every use. When I purchased last year - it had only been used 6 times. I have used it probably only 12 times since then.
If you are going to purchase a Tandem Island you HAVE to get a trailer - they are not light and getting one on and off your car would be a serious mission. The trailer is purpose built with fibreglass cradles designed to fit the shape of the hull - essential to prevent the hull losing its shape. Spare wheel with brand new tyre. Tyres on the wheels are probably 80 -90%. Registered till late this year.
The large jockey wheels/cradle make light work of moving the kayak around; position them in the middle and the kayak is virtually weightless.
So much fun! I have had it out in Byron Bay under sail and it moves beautifully throught the water. It is also a great fishing platform with the outrigger design providing great stability, the trampolines providing so much extra space to move around and plenty of in-hull and on hull stowage space.
This awesome piece of kit has to find a new home. No room in the garage any more and frankly no time to enjoy it.
